        Thank you for taking the time to visit my campaign website. I hope this site provides you with a wealth of information on why I am the most qualified  and candidate to fill the vacancy created by the retirment of the Honorable Gary M. Jeffreys, Sixth Judicial District Court Judge, Division II.  I urge you to vote for me on November 6, 2012.

Sixth Judicial District Court of New Mexico

The district court has jurisdiction over domestic relations (divorce, child support and custody, domestic violence), probate cases, children's court (abuse and neglect of children, juvenile delinquency, adoptions), appeals for administrative agencies and lower courts, criminal cases, and all general civil cases (auto accidents, contract disputes, real property disputes, violation of civil rights). There are positions for four district court judges and two special masters in the Sixth Judicial District currently:
·    The Honorable H. R. Quintero, Division I
·    Vacant seat, Division II
·    The Honorable J. C. Robinson, Division
III
·    The Honorable Daniel Viramontes, Division IV
·    Special Master Jennifer E. DeLaney
·    Special Master James Manlowe

There are thirteen judicial districts in the State of New Mexico.  The 6th Judicial District includes Grant, Hidalgo and Luna County. 
·    Grant County was created January 30, 1868. It was in the 3rd Judicial District from 1868-1912 and 
      became part of the 6th Judicial District in 1912 to present.
·    Hidalgo County was created February 25, 1919. It has been in the 6th Judicial District since its
      existence to present. 
·    Luna County was created March 16, 1901. It was also in the 3rd Judicial District from 1901-1912 and
      became part of the 6th Judicial District in 1912 to present.
